Mesh, 2021

This piece is composed of 22 printed 6-in gears assembled in diagonal stripes. The gears are arranged where each row of gears meshes, and the rows are connected with a series of belts behind the gears that drive the whole assembly.

This project heavily relied on 3D printing and it was good for building experience with this tool. Its great to have the ability to design custom gears, connections, and mounts that mate with other hardware to create a sculpture.
