This kinetic sculpture is 36″ in diameter and relies on gravity and a spring mechanism to keep it in motion. It will run for close to 2 hours on a single wind of the spring. I love the way that the polished copper looks as the patterns change and interact with the light as it moves, giving the piece a beautiful effect. I was provided the copper sheets by @ksprecisionmetals. I have used K&S for years on many of my projects for both mechanical and aesthetic design, so I am happy that I was able to get my hands on this copper.
