Ferris Wheel Mobile, 2023

The Ferris Wheel Mobile was created to compete in the 2023 Kensington Kinetic Derby in Philadelphia. The frame and wheel are welded aluminum, and I decided to decorate the sculpture with real potted flowers, which were provided by Bast Brothers Garden Center. The sculpture performed very well at the derby, but unfortunately could not overcome the final obstacle of the day: the mud pit. I will be back again next year to conquer the course.
